Introducing: The Sentient Solar Cycle, with author Carl Abrahamsson and psychoanalyst Vanessa Sinclair. Join them for a year long empowering psychic refinement process, with monthly meetings via Zoom. Each 23rd of the month, Carl & Vanessa will shine the light on what’s ahead in the coming month, using astrological concepts, oracular pointers, (twenty)third mind dialogs, guided meditations, and more. After each session there will also be time for Q & A and discussions. Taking a cue from the monthly regularity and the related accumulation of energy of the sigilizing system of Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth (TOPY, 1981-1991), Carl & Vanessa will focus on monthly assessment in both inner and outer individual spheres, as well as ”meta-programming” intentions for the coming month, and related techniques. It’s about moving a process of determination onwards to a magical formulation that can be private or shared – whatever feels right for you. Using astrological frameworks and...

I’m on the Midnight On Earth podcast
I’m on the great Midnight On Earth podcast, talking about my new book with Jake Weaver: Jake Weaver interviews Carl Abrahamson about his life and his book “Meetings with Remarkable Magicians.” Carl discusses his early interest in the occult, influenced by his intellectual upbringing and exposure to occult bookstores. He delves into his experiences with various magical traditions, including Crowley and LaVey, and his involvement with the Temple of Psychic Youth. Carl emphasizes the importance of personal development and the integration of magic into daily life. He also reflects on the potential for a collective awakening and the role of technology in spiritual growth, advocating for a holistic approach to magic and life. The conversation delves into the concept of cursing as a form of psychic hygiene, ridding oneself of negative influences. Carl discusses Aleister Crowley’s influence, noting his complex personality and the evolution of the OTO. They debate whether...
Summing up 2024
This is usually the moment when I write something like ”Oh, so another year has passed… Let’s see what happened…” And I don’t intend to change that because another year has indeed passed so… let’s see what happened. More or less in chronological order. Vanessa’s auto-biographical cut-up novel Things Happen was published, and it has definitely been one of my favorite books this year. It’s a really fascinating story (or several) of growing up as a teenager in 1990s Miami, covering the weirdness of Florida, coming of age thanks to/because of all kinds of experimentation, and a general esprit of street smart survival and good times. A rollercoaster memory lane from the point of view of a teenage girl. Much recommended. Book-wise it was a good year, and I think it reflects me writing more in general. First up was the anthology In-between the Lines – Essays on Occulture, Magic and Seductive Zombie Strippers, which is the follow up to Occulture and Source Magic in many ways. Basically a...
