So, OK, I love books. Actually I’m obsessed with books. I write them, publish my writings in book form, and also publish other people’s books. I buy them, collect them, care for them, touch them, and quite often sleep with them too (the books are above the blanket, I’m not). Since the emergence of “e-books” I’ve repelled the idea itself: who in her/his right mind wants to read on a digital “platform” and not caress an actual book? Unfortunately, quite a lot of people it seems. End times! However, I’m also vain so of course I want people to read my books. That’s why I’ve now made Mother, Have A Safe Trip and Fanzinera – Photographs 1985-1988 available as e-books. I’m not really comfortable with all of this yet but what the hell… If you actually buy them as e-books, I’ll forgive you. Because with that money I can publish more real books so I guess it’s a good scenario after all?
