Way back in 1987-1988, I made a Super-8 film with/about my friend Freddie Wadling, a legendary Swedish singer/musician. It featured an interview section and live material with his band Blue For Two. The film was called Love Begins To Write A Book, and although very primitive, I was pleased with it! Super-8 with direct sound: cine-punk!
In 2014 I decided it could be an interesting experiment to remake it. And so we did it all over again. I asked Freddie the same questions and recorded Blue For Two performing the very same songs. The result is now a time-traveling combo-film with both the new and old sections and it’s called Ingenting är sant, allting är möjligt (“Nothing Is True, Everything Is Possible”).
The film will be premiered at the Tempo documentary festival in Stockholm in early March. Here’s a link to Tempo.
If you are interested in arranging a screening, feel free to get in touch. It’s in Swedish but will soon be available in a version with subtitles in English.
